I think 1997 was my "Church" phase, I painted a lot of church doors
and gateways. It also seems to have been one of my better years and
a lot of work from 97 seems to be finding it's way into the archive.
This gateway is, I think, part of the church grounds at Narberth in
South Pembs. I know absolutely nothing about what lies behind it and
I think this is what gives the image such strength.
