I usually work on Saunders Waterford 140lb NOT paper, or 300lb paper for larger paintings. This paper is made from cotton rag and is acid-free so should last a lifetime. The watercolour paints are a mix of Windsor & Newton and Daler Rowney, all artists quality paints for the more finely ground pigments. I avoid some pigments and only use those with a good colour fastness, though this does mean I have to mix most of my greens from blue and yellow.
